Terracotta  is one of main handicrafts in Lombok  all traditionally done by hand .the process of making the  terracotta pottery has been passed  down from mother to daughter  over many generations the beauty of the  terracotta pottery here  is fantastic colors  due to clay found only in Lombok all is done by hand and the fireing is done in open pit  using old tree branches and straw firing can take up to 6 to 12 hours .
